For those of you new to my blog Caroline is a young lady in Kitwe Zambia who as a 22 year old took in her first street orphan. In 2015 this number had grown to 29 orphans and she also has three children of her own. Through her own sacrifices and with the support of her husband and many others she built new accommodation for them all as her present home only had one bedroom for them all. Here is a picture of progress, brick by brick, wall by wall of the new house for the orphans. The other pictures are of my own visit to Caroline in September 2015 and are taken in her yard. I first met Caroline in 2012 during my first visit to Zambia and she continues to inspire me with her dedication to the orphans while also encouraging and supporting the local group of Albino people in Kitwe who face their own severe challenges. All of the orphans are presently in schooling due to the donations from churches in the UK. Caroline’s only aim is to see the most vulnerable of children get a start in life through education and a safe place to stay.
